How to join us
Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in joining the laboratory. According to the 2019 U.S. News and World Report, Purdue’s engineering programs ranks 9th (undergraduate) and 7th (graduate) in the United States. Purdue’s Civil Engineering program ranks 5th (undergraduate) and 6th (graduate), and its Environmental and Ecological Engineering program ranks 12th (undergraduate) and 17th (graduate) in the United States.
Undergraduate Students: Undergraduate students are always welcome to join us as part-time research assistants. Independent study modules are counted as credits towards graduation.
Graduate Students: Graduate students are also welcome to join the lab to finish independent study modules or work towards a thesis/dissertation. Typically it takes about two years to finish a master thesis and four years to finish a Ph.D. dissertation. Post-Docs: Applicants with experience on environmental microbiology or environmental engineering are especially encouraged, and the available positions are subject to availability of funds.
